I agree, the fund looks interesting. Basically just collecting dividends and franking credits.
    According to: http://www.aurorafunds.com.au/downloads/AOD_Newsletter.pdf
performance was 15.7%, 12.8% in 2006/07 and 2007/08. Which is pretty good.

It looks like the way the strategy works is that there will be no capital growth though.

Might look a bit deeper into this one.

Certainly worth a 2nd & 3rd look. But please excuse my ignorance but if one is looking at it in pure yield terms, what is it % returning?
I have trolled through the Aurora web site & other sites but cant find a pure (and simple) number! There are so many caveets with regards to reinvestment of dividends, etc - for a basic bloke like me, forget the capital movement, for $1 in, what is my yield?
    Help please.

I believe, that since the fund is actively traded, only hold securities for 45 days, and pays out all profits as a dividend. Then the yield (grossed up to include franking credits) was 15.7%, 12.8% in 2006/07 and 2007/08. So if you invested $1 at the beginning for July 07, you would have been payed $0.128 in dividends till June 08.
