    Hi all,

I've got an investment with CFS - and using their website I can make additional investments, sell them, manage my margin loan, etc. Being a tech-head guy it's great - no mailing forms, faxing things or making phone calls.

However it would be really good if they offered as well:

    - An online brokerage service so I can buy shares using the margin loan - and have it all tracked in the website.

    - An high-interest savings account which I can store my cash when not investing.

Now I know RaboBank has their RaboPlus product which has a high interest savings account as well as the ability to purchase managed funds - but not direct shares.

Does anyone know of a company that does all four - Managed Funds, Share Trading, Cash Investments and Margin Lending?

I think E*Trade can. You can buy and sell managed funds online, you can buy and sell shares online. Have the margin loan with ANZ and manage that online. And you can also set up a V2 Plus account which is linked in their as well 5.70% interest (but must have min $5K in their to get the interest).

    Hi Samaka,

I don't think CFS will let you do that as that would compete with another area owned by the same company called CommSec. Also a high rate deposit account would compete with CommBank.

Though logic would say it's a bloody good idea!

One would think that Etrade would be pushing the ING platform though I'm not sure if you have access to shares under the platform though the bank account is obviously linked as you can get stand alone V2 accounts (It's a CMT).

The Asgard platform let's you access funds and stocks from the ASX300 as well as having 300 or so managed funds, though you might want to choose a top 400 stock.

I've heard of NetWealth which apparently lets you do all stocks, warrants, etc, I don't know if it has a high rate linked account though.

    Good luck,

    Dan

I know! They'll go so far as to let me use my CFS margin loan for buying shares through CommSec - however there is still no central place to manage it all.

Macquarie Prime! You an trade shares, cfds etc + high interest savings if you close your positions (pays RBA cash rate).

No managed funds though, but are working on it. But you can trade listed managed investments - Streettracks, Ishares, Lics etc.

    Cheers
