I currently have a property worth (home) $330000 on which i currently owe $260000. I am currently paying around $2000 per month and i can afford to spend another $2000.00 to buy another property. Need Help on? 1. What type of Structure is best suited for me. (A financial consul told me that the ATO has a ruling against Hybrid Discretionary Trust and I cannot direct the income from investment property to my wife where as i could gain the -ve gearing on the loan.) 2. How does the Depriciation thing work. Can i buy land then build on it myself and then rent it out? Any other help or strategy is welcome. Looking to learn from the experts here... Rising star
