    As you work in commercial/finance this perspective on depreciating versus appreciating assets may be of some use.

    If wonder if the ATO would let you claim depreciation maintenance costs on your spouse?

    I imagine the yield on that would probably hover around the 0.001% range.

    A lot of outlay for very little return.

    If I can make a suggestion. Tell them to get Anthony Robbins "Get The Edge" cd program and listen to the relationship section a few times to help them find their "perfect partner".

    Relationships are the most damaging thing to a persons financial well being :D
