    Hi,

I am about to open up an online account for buying and selling shares
so I thought I'll start a poll and see what's popular and if anyone would like to tell me what the benefits are.

Please note: You can select more than 1 option

I use etrade, but I'm thinking to switching over to Commsec because they seem to be cheaper and have a better system.

I don't think there's anything wrong with using a full service broker. I'd be interested to know what types of services you get from them and how effective you find it - I've not had any experience with this.

I've been in contact with Ben Geveling (spelling) from Shaw for over 15 years, before online trading was around (or at least I don't think it was around). I always received good advice whether that be suggesting a specific stock or advising me about my own selections.
As long as they have had a connection with egoli.com.au, I have been given access to their 'sealed section' as long as I trade with them every now and then and have found their research helpful. Mostly I have used that information to purchase shares through Comsec:rolleyes:.
Saying all this I haven't made a trad in about 2 years so I dont have access to the members area anymore.

I use Macquarie Prime (different to Macquarie Direct Trade I think). $20.00 trades plus interest account and gearing with no margin calls!
