my last thread was posted months ago... about claiming tpd from super. well time has passed (slowly) and my forms have been 'in' now for 4 weeks. i had a free financial advisor from a charity. so he is the middle man. (so to speak). i handed in a well documented case. i have mental health issues. it was documented that they arised during my last employment. (so no pre existing condition). all psych/counselling/meds started a year after i started working at my last employment. so the middle man has told me that my claim has been passed on from the senior claims officer (with sunsuper) to a claims assessor (with suncorp). i have no idea of the process... can anyone enlighten me?

i see my psych weekly. friday just gone he told me about receiving forms from suncorp for more information. is this a good or bad thing? i have been with my psych for 2 and a half years. i know he filled a basic form out to begin with. (is this why they need more info?)...

i know this isn't a psychic forum lol... but i was wondering... what are my chances? i've read on here that it's good i got a financial advisor to communicate with them... as it might push it along quicker.

i handed in so much info. stat. decs from previous people at my ex job/stat. decs from the closest people around me. (gf and mum). GP patient progress notes. medicare history on me... (showing frequency of visits to psych/counselling/doctor and meds)... all starting after employment. they show i have been to other psychologists and mental health places for help. i even included personal 'poetry' i write. (dark dark stuff... to personalise me a bit... so i'm not just a claims no). it was a well set out easy to follow folder. with my OCD... i made sure it was perfect.

so in your personal opinion... what are my chances? if so... how much longer do u think we will have to wait?

    Hi Jayce,

TPD claims need two doctors to say that you can never work again.

    Cheers,

    Jayce,

I wish you all the best with your claim and I really hope it gets through soon.

It seems to have progressed and your adviser / 'middleman' and yourself have obviously had to do a lot of work to get the claim moving through as far as it has.

Good luck and please let us know the outcome and any hurdles you come across.

    SM

thanks sm... so it has progressed?? does it not normally go to the claims assessor (suncorp) from the claims officer (sunsuper)?

well to be honest... not being able to work. (+ my gf of 11 years has two back diseases and a slight intellectual disability... so we are both on the dsp from c/link... getting a couple rate. we've lost $650 a f/n... yet our bills are still the same. i need this to be approved. my life depends on it.
