    Hi

Hello Dibbsy, Its funny everyone has stopped updating their progress on here, I keep coming back to see, hopefully someone will update soon.:)
My wife and I have had an IP because of Canterbury for about 9 months now and everything is going to plan, we have payed down our PPoR over 65k already, we had only payed down 83k in 8yrs with our usual way through the bank we had.
should hopefully pay off our home in the next 2yrs.
prob before then look at buying another IP.
Only wish we had done this yrs ago, give them a try, and let us know how you get on. they wont push you into anything if they don't think you can do it. :)

Thanks for the responses guys, we had a follow up meeting with CPS a week or so ago and currently working through our options. Seem to be a good bunch of people and very helpful.

    Hi all,

I have been checking out this thread lately and am also, like alot of others, keen to know how everyone is going with CPS. I have finished signing all the paperwork and just waiting for the next step. Any updates on progress with anyone else would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, only one regret with all this, and that's I wish we had done this years ago, but we are on track now and loving it.

I didn't know this thread is still going as I stopped receiving notification from the forum. I am glad to see new people coming on board, and others are doing fine.

I have been with CPS for nearly a year now. I don't own a PPOR so this property with CPS is my first property. The strategy does work, my property is negative gearing but neutral cash flow due to tax deduction. I only spent approximately 25k to acquire a 380k property, so I am pretty happy about it.

I hope to purchase my second IP before 2014 ends, but may not be getting it from CPS. Not because they are not good, but because they seem to suggesting properties within that one particular suburb in the Queensland region. I personally prefer to have my portfolio a little bit more diverse, over different regions or states if possible.

    Hi

Hello Kingsley, that's great that it is working for you too, you say they only suggest properties in the same suburb, which suburb is your's in, ours is in Griffin Qld. We to are hopeful to buy again within the next year, hope to hear more from you along the way, as with everyone else too. :)

Mine was built in Springfield Lakes. Maybe I will talk to them in the future about trying to have my next IP in south/north Brisbane.

Actually, I read through all 15 pages. I want some real stories other than the all positive spin ones that are here. I want a good feel of what the overall experience is rather than the fluff.

G'dday all CPS clients. I have been reading this forum for just over a year and committed to IP with CPS in July last year.At first I found I was looking for negative reports and was unable to, a meeting with Robbie made me want to dive in boots and all. I moved to Aus about 10 years ago having lost just about everything in a 3rd world country.I have been determined to rebuild my life ever since and Aus has been very good to us. We are now in a position with enough equity to do something positive and not wanting to depend on social welfare in retirement, turned to CPS.I will have my first IP up and running in Griffin in the not to distant future and have great expectations. Venom,I have been very encouraged by all your positive comments and every time I feel nervous I look at this forum. I have a question for all, what has your capital growth been like with a CPS property over the past 5 years, all data revealed by them only goes as far as 2007? I look forward to future participation in this forum.

I don't know anything about the company other than what I have read on this thread so can't really give an opinion either way. Many posters appear to be happy with them, but the identities of these posters is not known so people should treat these posts with caution and do their own research.

I can tell you all that thanks to Canterbury we settled on our investment townhouse on Thursday at 3pm, and tenants moved in this morning (Saturday) at 9am.

It took a while, due to the fact that the townhouse is in a body corporate development and the entire stage had to be constructed, but I can assure you that without Canterbury doing the sums and the negotiating with the bank we would not be owners of an investment home. If you don't believe me, scroll back through my prior posts as my position is laid bare.

It hasn't been all beer and skittles, there have been times I wish Canterbury had made more communication with me, but a lot of that comes from me being used to doing the legwork. Canterbury will find a property, put it in front of you and say take it or leave it. They don't screw around and that can be confronting if you are used to doing everything for yourself.

Canterbury set up all my lines of credit with Macquarie, and a lady named Lisa H in the finance office of Canterbury is an absolute genius. I am very happy with Macquarie, but don't expect bells and whistles with the online banking, it's years behind the big 4.

If you want a Macquarie Credit Card, do your due diligence as it is outsourced credit management and it was not for me. PM me for more detail on that.

I am very glad I went with Canterbury, and I have them planning my next one already.
